Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a known calculated term. 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
