He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ He frowned and then turned away 1 Because there came to him the blind man. 2 And what could let you know? Perhaps he (comes to hear you) to be purified. 3 Or that he may accept advice, so the advice may benefit him. 4 As for him who considers himself free from need (of you), 5 to a rich man, 6 And you have nothing to lose if he does not become pure. 7 But he who comes to you running, 8 And he feareth 9 From him you are distracted. 10 No indeed; it is a Reminder 11 (and whoso wills, shall remember it) 12 On honourable pages. 13 Exalted, Purified, 14 (Written) by the hands of scribes- 15 Honourable and obedient. 16 Cursed be man! how ungrateful is he! 17 From what thing did He create him? 18 From a single sperm He created, then proportioned him, 19 Then maketh the way easy for him, 20 Then He causes him to die, then assigns to him a grave, 21 Then when He wills, He will resurrect him. 22 By no means hath he fulfilled what Allah hath commanded him. 23 Let man reflect on the food he eats. 24 It is We Who pour forth water, pouring, 25 and split the earth, splitting, 26 and thereupon We cause grain to grow out of it, 27 and vines and edible plants, 28 And olives and date palms, 29 Orchards thick with trees, 30 And fruit and grass - 31 A provision for you and your cattle. 32 AND SO, when the piercing call [of resurrection] is heard 33 on the Day when each man shall flee from his brother, 34 his mother, his father, 35 And from his wife and his children. 36 for on that day everyone will be completely engrossed in his own concerns. 37 Some faces on that day shall shine 38 laughing, joyous; 39 And (many) faces on that day, on them shall be dust, 40 with darkness overspread: 41 these, these will be the ones who denied the truth and were immersed in iniquity! 42
Almighty God's Truth.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
