Do you not see how your Lord stretches the shadow? Had it been His will, He could have made it constant. Then He appointed the sun to be a guide to it; 45 We then gradually withdraw it towards Us. 46 And it is He Who makes the night a covering for you, and the sleep (as) repose, and makes the day Nushur (i.e. getting up and going about here and there for daily work, etc. after one's sleep at night or like resurrection after one's death). 47 And He it is Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His mercy, and We send down pure water from the sky,- 48 so, that with it We revive dead lands and provide drink for the cattle and the human We created. 49 And indeed We have distributed it (rain or water) amongst them in order that they may remember the Grace of Allah, but most men refuse (or deny the Truth or Faith) and accept nothing but disbelief or ingratitude. 50 Had We pleased We could have raised a warner in every town. 51 so do not yield to those who deny the truth, but strive with the utmost strenuousness by means of this [Quran, to convey its message to them]. 52 ۞ It was He who let forth the two seas, this one is palatably sweet and this salt, a bitter taste, and He set a barrier between them, and a refuge which is forbidden. 53 And He it is Who hath created man from water, and hath appointed for him kindred by blood and kindred by marriage; for thy Lord is ever Powerful. 54 Yet they worship besides God that which can neither benefit them nor harm them. One who denies the truth is a helper [of evil] against his Lord. 55 But thee We only sent to give glad tidings and admonition. 56 Say, "I do not ask of you for it any payment - only that whoever wills might take to his Lord a way." 57 And put thy trust in Him Who lives and dies not; and celebrate his praise; and enough is He to be acquainted with the faults of His servants;- 58 He who has created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six aeons, and is established on the throne of His almightiness; the Most Gracious! Ask, then, about Him, [the] One who is [truly] aware. 59 Yet when they [who are bent on denying the truth are told, "Prostrate yourselves before the Most Gracious" they are wont to ask, "And [who and] what is the Most Gracious? Are we to prostrate ourselves before whatever thou biddest us [to worship]?" - and so [thy call] but increases their aversion, ۩ 60
