Man is prone to say: "Shall I be raised to life after I die?" 66 Will not man remember that We created him aforetime, when he was nothing? 67 And so, by thy Sustainer, [on Judgment Day] We shall most certainly bring them forth together with the satanic forces [which impelled them in life] and then We shall most certainly gather them, on their knees, around hell; 68 Then We shall pluck out from every sect whichever of them was most stubborn in rebellion to the Beneficent. 69 Then, verily, We know best those who are most worthy of being burnt therein. 70 There is not one of you but shall approach it. That is a fixed ordinance of thy Lord. 71 Then We shall rescue those who kept from evil, and leave the evil-doers crouching there. 72 When Our clear revelations are recited to those who deny the Truth they are wont to say to those who have faith: "Which of the two groups has a better status and whose assemblies are grander?" 73 How many generations of greater prosperity and splendor have We destroyed before them? 74 Say: As for him who remains in error, the Beneficent Allah will surely prolong his length of days, until they see what they were threatened with, either the punishment or the hour; then they shall know who is in more evil plight and weaker in forces 75 And Allah will increase the guidance for those who have received guidance; and good deeds that remain have the best reward before your Lord, and the best outcome. 76 Hast thou then seen the (sort of) man who rejects Our Signs, yet says: "I shall certainly be given wealth and children?" 77 What, has he observed the Unseen, or taken a covenant with the All-merciful? 78 Nay! We shall record what he says, and We shall lengthen the length of his suffering [in the hereafter,] 79 We shall inherit that of which he speaks and he will come before Us alone. 80 And they have taken gods beside Allah that they might be unto them a glory. 81 By no means! They shall soon deny their worshipping them, and they shall be adversaries to them. 82
