What ails the unbelievers, running with outstretched necks 36 [coming upon thee] from the right and from the left, in crowds? 37 Does everyone of them wish to enter the Garden of Bliss? 38 Never! For, behold, We have created them out of something that they know [only too well]! 39 But nay! I call to witness [Our being] the Sustainer of all the points of sunrise and sunset: verily, well able are We 40 To bring better people than they in their place; and they will not be able to thwart Us. 41 Then leave them alone to plunge and play until they encounter that day of theirs which they are promised, 42 the Day when they shall come out of their graves in haste, as if they were racing to a goal, 43 With lowered eyes, disgrace overcoming them; this is the day, which they had been promised. 44
