Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 who know whatever you do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
