The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
