Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 He who fears will mind, 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. 13 Indeed successful is the one who became pure. 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
