The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the morning hours 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 Did He not find you poor and enrich you? 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 nor drive away the one who asks. 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
