Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Rivalry in worldly increase distracteth you 1 Until you confronted the graves. 2 But you will come to know soon; -- 3 Indeed you will come to know soon. 4 Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things) 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 You would see it with the eye of certainty. 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
