The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 who amasses wealth and counts it over and again. 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 closed around them 8 in endless columns! 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
