Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Perdition overtake both hands of Abu Lahab, and he will perish. 1 His wealth did not benefit him in the least, nor did whatever he earned. 2 He shall soon enter a Blazing Fire, 3 and so too will his wife who (threw thorns and firewood in the Prophet's way). 4 Will have a strap of fibre rope around her neck. 5

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
