Has there come to you information about the honored guests of Ibrahim? 24 Behold, they entered his presence, and said: "Peace!" He said, "Peace!" (and thought, "These seem) unusual people." 25 So he hurried to the house and brought a fatted calf, 26 And he set it before them, and said: wherefore eat ye not? 27 So he conceived in his mind a fear on account of them. They said: Fear not. And they gave him the good news of a boy possessing knowledge. 28 His wife came forward, crying and beating her face, saying, "I am an old barren woman!" 29 They answered: "Thus has thy Sustainer decreed; and verily, He alone is truly wise, all-knowing!" 30 ۞ Abraham said: “Envoys (of Allah), what is your errand?” 31 They said: "We have been sent to a wicked people 32 “To throw upon them stones of baked clay.” 33 Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors." 34 Then We brought forth such as were therein of the believers. 35 But We found not there any just (Muslim) persons except in one house: 36 And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. 37 And in Moses (was another Sign): Behold, We sent him to Pharaoh, with authority manifest. 38 But he turned away with his forces and said: A magician or a mad man. 39 So We seized him and his hosts, and We cast them into the sea, and he blameworthy. 40 There is another sign in the [tribe of] 'Ad, when We sent against them a life-destroying wind 41 It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins. 42 And in Thamud (there is also a sign), when they were told: "Enjoy yourselves for a while!" 43 But in their pride they turn away from the commandment of their Lord and the thunderbolt struck them whilst they were looking; 44 And neither stand up nor defend themselves. 45 And the people of Noah before; surely they were an ungodly people. 46
