Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
