O you who have attained to faith! Be conscious of God with all the consciousness that is due to Him, and do not allow death to overtake you ere you have surrendered yourselves unto Him. 102 Hold on firmly together to the rope of God, and be not divided among yourselves, and remember the favours God bestowed on you when you were one another's foe and He reconciled your hearts, and you turned into brethren through His grace. You had stood on the edge of a pit of fire and He saved you from it, thus revealing to you His clear signs that you may find the right way perchance. 103 Let there be a group among you who will invite others to do good deeds, command them to obey the Law, and prohibit them from committing sins. These people will have eternal happiness. 104 And do not be like those who became divided and disputed after the clear signs had come to them; and for them is a terrible punishment. 105 on the Day [of Judgment] when some faces will shine [with happiness] and some faces will be dark [with grief]. And as for those with faces darkened, [they shall be told:] "Did you deny the truth after having attained to faith? Taste, then, this suffering for having denied the truth!" 106 And those whose faces have turned bright, they will be in the mercy of Allah, and therein they shall abide. 107 These are the commandments of God We recite to you verily; God does not wish injustice to the creatures of the world. 108 Allah's is whatsoever is in the heavens and in the earth; and unto Allah shall be committed all affairs. 109
