Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
When the sun is folded up, 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 And when the mountains are made to pass away, 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 The wild beasts stampede on the run, 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 When the scrolls are laid open; 10 And when the sky is torn away, 11 when Hell is set ablaze, 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared. 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 that hide, 16 And the close of night, 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 And your companion is not insane. 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. 25 So whither do you stray? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.
