The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

By the white forenoon 1 and by the calm of night, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 And found you deeply engrossed in His love, so directed you? 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
