'Abasa
He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 Because a blind man came to him. 2 And what would make you know that he would purify himself, 3 (He might) remember, and the Reminder might profit him. 4 Now he who waxes indifferent, 5 to him thou attendest 6 What does it matter to you if he will not become pure (from disbelief, you are only a Messenger, your duty is to convey the Message of Allah). 7 As for the one who comes to you earnestly (striving for guidance). 8 and in awe [of God] 9 you pay him no heed. 10 No indeed; it is a Reminder 11 So let him who pleases mind it. 12 (This Quran) is also recorded in honorable books, 13 uplifted, purified, 14 [borne] by the hands of messengers 15 Honourable and obedient. 16 Cursed be man! how ungrateful is he! 17 Of what substance God created him? 18 Out of a drop of sperm! He creates and proportions him, 19 then eased his path for him, 20 then causes him to die and buries him, 21 Then, when He willed, He brought him out. (As during the night of Holy Prophet’s ascension, when all the Prophets gathered behind him in the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. Or when Allah will raise everyone on the Day of Resurrection.) 22 Nay, but [man] has never yet fulfilled what He has enjoined upon him! 23 So man must look at his food. 24 How We poured down water in torrents, 25 and cleaved the earth, cleaving it asunder; 26 and thereupon We cause grain to grow out of it, 27 And grapes and vegetables 28 and the olive, and the palm, 29 And dense gardens, 30 And fruits and Abba (herbage, etc.), 31 for you and for your animals to enjoy. 32 But when the Shout cometh 33 on the Day when each man shall flee from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father 35 And his wife and his children, 36 On that day, each one has just one issue, which is enough for him. 37 On that day faces will be bright as dawn, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news; 39 whereas some faces will be covered with dust 40 Covered with the blackness (of shame): 41 these, these will be the ones who denied the truth and were immersed in iniquity! 42

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
