Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Does man think that We shall not gather his bones? 3 Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips. 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 He asks, “When will be the Day of Resurrection?” 6 So when vision is dazzled 7 and the moon eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 upon that day man shall say, 'Whither to flee?' 10 No! There is no refuge! 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 On that Day will man be apprised of his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 13 But lo, man is well aware of himself, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), do not cause your tongue to move along with the Qur’an in order to learn it faster. 16 Surely its collection and recitation are Our responsibility. 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 and then, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Truly, you love immediate gain 20 and are oblivious of the Hereafter. 21 Some faces that Day shall be Nadirah (shining and radiant). 22 and look forward to receiving mercy from their Lord. 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 Fearing that a great disaster is going to befall them. 25 No! When the soul has reached the collar bones 26 and the angels say, "Who will take away his soul, 27 and he realises that the hour of parting is come, 28 And agony is heaped on agony; 29 that will be the time to be driven to one's Lord. 30
