See you not that We have sent the Shayatin (devils) against the disbelievers to push them to do evil. 83 (Muhammad), exercise patience; We have given them respite only for an appointed time. 84 The day We shall gather the righteous to (Allah) Most Gracious, like a band presented before a king for honours, 85 And will drive the criminals to Hell in thirst 86 People do not own the right to intercede, except those* who have made a covenant with the Most Gracious. (* The Holy Prophets and virtuous people will be given the permission to intercede. Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him – will be the first to intercede.) 87 They claim: "The Most Compassionate Lord has taken a son to Himself." 88 Indeed, [by this assertion] you have brought forth something monstrous, 89 This would almost cause the heavens to rent apart, the earth to cleave asunder and the mountains to crumble down in fragments, 90 That they ascribe a son to the Beneficent Allah. 91 It is not for the Merciful to take a son! 92 there is none in the heavens or on the earth but shall return to the Merciful in utter submission, 93 Verily He knoweth them and numbereth them with (right) numbering. 94 Every one of them shall come to Him upon the Day of Resurrection, all alone. 95 Surely those who believe and do deeds of righteousness -- unto them the All-merciful shall assign love. 96 and only to this end have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own tongue, [O Prophet,] so that thou might convey thereby a glad tiding to the God-conscious, and warn thereby those who are given to [futile] contention: 97 How many generations living before them did We destroy? Do you find anyone of them around or do you even hear any word from them? 98
