Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 And those [clouds] carrying a load [of water] 2 And those that glide with ease (upon the sea) 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 Verily, that which you are promised (i.e. Resurrection in the Hereafter and receiving the reward or punishment of good or bad deeds, etc.) is surely true. 5 And indeed, the recompense is to occur. 6 The heavens webbed-with-tracks is witness 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" 12 It will be on the day when they will be roasted in the fire. 13 "Taste your trial. This is what you sought to hasten." 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 They slept very little during the night 17 And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness, 18 And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking). 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? 21 And in heaven is [the source of] your sustenance [on earth] and [of] all that you are promised [for your life after death]: 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23
