Those who deny the truth say, "When we have turned to dust like our fathers, shall we be brought back to life again? 67 “Indeed this promise was given to us, and before us to our forefathers this is nothing but stories of former people.” 68 Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of the criminals." 69 Do not sorrow for them, nor be thou straitened for what they devise. 70 Yet they say: "When will this promise come to pass? (Tell Us) if you speak the truth." 71 Say: It may be that a part of that which ye would hasten on is close behind you. 72 Surely thy Lord is bountiful to men; but most of them are not thankful. 73 And verily thy Lord knoweth all that their hearts do hide. As well as all that they reveal. 74 And there is nothing concealed within the heaven and the earth except that it is in a clear Register. 75 This Quran explains to the children of Israel much of what they differ over, 76 and it is a guidance and mercy for the believers. 77 Your Lord will judge among them according to His own decree. He is Majestic and All-Knowing. 78 Therefore rely on Allah; you are indeed upon the clear Truth. 79 Indeed, you will not make the dead hear, nor will you make the deaf hear the call when they have turned their backs retreating. 80 nor can you direct the blind to the Right Way, preventing them from falling into error. You can make only those who believe in Our verses to hear the call and then submit. 81 ۞ And when the word befalls them, We will bring forth for them a creature from the earth speaking to them, [saying] that the people were, of Our verses, not certain [in faith]. 82

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
