Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 storming tempestuously 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 excusing or warning, 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 Till a limit known? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
