And when the envoys came to the family of Lot, 61 He said, "Indeed, you are people unknown." 62 They said: "Nay, we have brought to you that concerning which they have been in doubt. 63 And bring thee the Truth, and lo! we are truth-tellers. 64 So set out with your family in a watch of the night, and keep yourself behind them, and no one of you may turn around, and keep going ahead as you have been commanded." 65 We informed him that the unbelievers would be utterly destroyed. 66 In the meantime the people of the city came to Lot rejoicing. 67 [Lot] said, "Indeed, these are my guests, so do not shame me. 68 And fear Allah and do not disgrace me." 69 They said: forbade we not thee against the worlds? 70 He said: Here are my daughters, if ye must be doing (so). 71 By thy life (O Muhammad) they moved blindly in the frenzy of approaching death. 72 And thereupon the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them at the time of sunrise, 73 We turned the town upside-down and showered on them lumps of baked clay. 74 Indeed in this are signs for people who perceive. 75 And verily! They (the cities) were right on the highroad (from Makkah to Syria i.e. the place where the Dead Sea is now). 76 Surely! Therein is indeed a sign for the believers. 77 And the dwellers of the wood surely were wrong-doers. 78 We therefore took revenge from them; and indeed both these townships are situated on an open road. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
