T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha.* (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals know their precise meanings.) 1 We have not revealed unto thee (Muhammad) this Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed, 2 it is only a reminder for him who fears Allah; 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the heavens on high. 4 the Merciful willed to the Throne. 5 Unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth, as well as all that is between them and all that is beneath the sod. 6 Whether you speak aloud [or in a low voice], He hears all, for He knows your secrets and what is even more hidden. 7 Allah-- there is no god but He; His are the very best names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'Stay here, for I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance' 10 Then when he was come thereto, he was cried unto. O Musa! 11 I am thy Lord; put off thy shoes; thou art in the holy valley, Towa. 12 I have chosen you as My Messengers. Listen to the revelation. 13 "Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise. 14 “The Last Day will surely come – it was close that I hide it from all – in order that every soul may get the reward of its effort.” (He revealed it to His Prophets, so that people may fear and get ready. The exact time is not revealed to the people.) 15 So let not him who believeth not therein and followeth his own desire keep thee away therefrom lest thou perish. 16 What is that in your right hand, Moses' 17 He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." 18 He said: "Moses, throw it down." 19 So he threw it down, and lo, it became a running serpent. 20 'Take it, and do not fear' He said, 'We will restore it to its former state. 21 And place your hand in your armpit, it will come forth shining white, without blemish. This is another Sign of Allah, 22 so that We might make thee aware of some of Our greatest wonders. 23 "Go thou to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." 24
