The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
I CALL TO witness those who stand arrayed in rows, 1 Then those who drive away with reproof, 2 and those who recite the Remembrance 3 that your Lord is the only Lord. 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them; the Lord of the Easts. 5 Verily We! We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment: the stars. 6 and to preserve against every rebel Satan; 7 (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side, 8 They are rejected and theirs is an everlasting punishment; 9 Except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame. 10 Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay. 11 (Muhammad), you will be surprised that they still mock (God's revelations). 12 and when they are reminded [of the truth,] they refuse to take it to heart; 13 and whenever they see some sign, they ridicule it, 14 And they say: this Qur'an is naught but magic manifest. 15 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, how can we be raised again, 16 And our forefathers? 17 Say: 'Yes, but worthless' 18 The Day of Judgment will come within a single roar and they will remain gazing at it. 19 They will say, "Woe to us!" (They will be told), "This is the day of receiving recompense". 20 "(Yes,) this is the Day of Judgement you had called a lie." 21
