Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ I CALL TO WITNESS the Day of Resurrection, 1 and nay, I swear by the self-reproaching soul! 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 Yea! WE are Able to put together evenly his finger-tips. 4 But man would fain deny what is before him. 5 He questions: "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 When the sight is dazed, 7 And the moon is eclipsed 8 And the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 people will say, "Is there anywhere to run away?" 10 No! There is no refuge! 11 on that Day, to your Lord alone is the recourse. 12 Man shall on that day be informed of what he sent before and (what he) put off. 13 nay, man shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 even though he offer his excuses. 15 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran. 16 Ours it is to gather it, and to recite it. 17 So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation. 18 Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 On that day, some faces will shine with freshness. 22 Waiting for their Lord. 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 Nay! When it comes up to the throat, 26 and the angels say, "Who will take away his soul, 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 and when leg is intertwined with leg, 29 upon that Day the driving shall be to your Lord. 30
