The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
CONSIDER those [stars] that rise only to set, 1 By the meteors rushing, 2 By the angels who glide swimmingly, 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 And direct affairs by command, 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 to be followed by further [convulsions]! 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 Cast down will be (their owners') eyes. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They say: "It would in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, 13 And lo! they all shall appear on the surface. 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 "Go unto Pharaoh - for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of what is right 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 and gathered his people together 23 Saying: "I am your lord, most high", 24 Wherefore Allah laid hold of him with the punishment of the Hereafter and of the present. 25 Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]. 26
