The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the Sun and his (glorious) splendour; 1 By the moon when it followeth it, 2 by the day, when it displays it, 3 and by the night when it enshrouds him! 4 by the heavens and that (Power) which established them, 5 And by the earth and Him Who spread it, 6 And [by] the soul and He who proportioned it 7 and imbued it with (the consciousness of) its evil and its piety: 8 He will indeed be successful who purifies it, 9 and truly lost is he who buries it [in darkness]. 10 The Thamud tribe rejected the truth because of their arrogance, 11 When the most unfortunate of them broke forth with 12 then the Messenger of God said to them, 'The She-camel of God; let her drink!' 13 Then they rejected him (as a false prophet), and they hamstrung her. So their Lord, on account of their crime, obliterated their traces and made them equal (in destruction, high and low)! 14 He dreadeth not the sequel (of events). 15
Almighty Allah's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
