The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter, 1 who amasses wealth and counts it over and again. 2 Does he think that his wealth will prolong his stay on earth forever? 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts: 7 closed around them 8 In extended columns. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
