(Recount to them about the time) when Your Lord called Moses: "Go to the wrong-doing people, 10 “The nation of Firaun; will they not fear?” 11 He said: My Lord! Lo! I fear that they will deny me, 12 And my breast straitens, and my tongue is not eloquent, therefore send Thou to Haroun (to help me); 13 "And (further), they have a charge of crime against me; and I fear they may slay me." 14 He said: Nay, verily. So go ye twain with Our tokens. Lo! We shall be with you, Hearing. 15 So go ye twain unto Fir'awn and say: verily we are the apostles of the Lord of the Worlds, 16 "'Send thou with us the Children of Israel.'" 17 Pharaoh said: "Did we not bring you up among us when you were a child? 18 “And you committed the deed of yours that you committed, and you were ungrateful.” 19 Moses replied: "I committed that act erringly. 20 so I fled from you, fearing you. But my Lord gave me Judgment and made me one of the Envoys. 21 And this is the past favour wherewith thou reproachest me: that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel. 22 Pharaoh said, "What is this: Lord of the Universe?" 23 Moses said, "Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if only you would be convinced." 24 'Do you not hear' said he (Pharaoh) to those around him. 25 Musa (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers!" 26 (The Pharaoh) said (to his nobles): "Your apostle who has been sent to you, is certainly mad." 27 He said, 'The Lord of the East and West, and what between them is, if you have understanding,' 28 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "If you choose an ilah (god) other than me, I will certainly put you among the prisoners." 29 He said: even though I bring unto thee something manifest? 30 (The Pharaoh) said: "Then bring it, if you speak the truth." 31 Thereupon [Moses] threw down his staff - and lo! it was a serpent, plainly visible; 32 And he drew out his hand, and it appeared [shining] white to the beholders. 33
