The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those who range themselves in rows; 1 by those who drive away the devil (to protect Our revelation), 2 and those who recite the Exhortation; 3 surely, your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun! 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 Protecting them against every wayward devil, 7 They cannot listen to the higher group (angels) for they are pelted from every side. 8 And kept far away. There is perpetual punishment for them, 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Then ask them whether they are stronger in creation or those (others) whom We have created. Surely We created them of firm clay. 11 Aye! thou marvellest, and they scoff. 12 And heed not when they are reminded, 13 When they see a sign, they laugh at it, 14 And they say: Lo! this is mere magic; 15 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, how can we be raised again, 16 And also our forefathers? 17 Say thou: "Yea, and ye shall then be humiliated (on account of your evil)." 18 For it is only a single scaring, then behold, they are watching 19 And will say, “O our misfortune!” It will be said to them, “This is the Day of Justice.” 20 (It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
