۞ Gather together those who were unjust and their associates, and what they used to worship 22 Beside Allah, and lead them on to the path of the Flaming Fire. 23 and stop them there for questioning: 24 They will be asked, "Why do you not help each other?" 25 Indeed, today they are surrendering themselves completely.” 26 And they will turn to one another and question one another. 27 They will say, "You used to come at us from the right." 28 They will answer, “You yourselves did not have faith!” 29 And we had no authority over you, but you were an inordinate people; 30 So our Lord's Word is realised against us; we are tasting it. 31 we perverted you, indeed, we were perverts' 32 Then lo! this day they (both) are sharers in the doom. 33 Verily, thus shall We deal with all who were lost in sin: 34 Indeed, when it was said to them, “There is no God except Allah”, they were haughty. 35 And (they) said: "Are we going to abandon our aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet? 36 Nay: he has come with the truth and verified the apostles. 37 Lo! (now) verily ye taste the painful doom - 38 You will only be recompensed according to your deeds.” 39 Not so, however, God's true servants: 40 shall have a known provision -- 41 Fruits, and they shall be highly honored, 42 in the Gardens of Bliss. 43 On thrones, facing each other. 44 a cup from a spring being passed round to them, 45 white, sparkling (wine), a delight to the drinkers. 46 There shall be no trouble in it, nor shall they be exhausted therewith. 47 They will have with them loving wives with big black and white eyes 48 (Delicate and pure) as if they were (hidden) eggs (well) preserved. 49 Then one turned to the other in an enquiry. 50 Said one of the speakers: "I had a friend 51 Who would say, 'Are you indeed of those who believe 52 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then be certainly brought to judgment? 53 He shall say: Will you look on? 54 Then he will look down and see him in the midst of the Flaming Fire. 55 He said: "By Allah! thou wast little short of bringing me to perdition! 56 And but for the favour of my lord, I should have been of those brought forward. 57 Then, are we not to die 58 Except our previous death? And we shall not be chastised? 59 Truly, this is a great victory!" 60 It is for the like of this that all should strive. 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 We have indeed made that a punishment for the unjust. 63 It is a tree that comes forth in the root of Hell; 64 Its spathes are like the heads of satans. 65 (The people of Hell) will surely eat of it, filling their bellies with it. 66 And afterward, lo! thereupon they have a drink of boiling water 67 then their return is unto Hell. 68 They found their fathers in error, 69 So they in their footsteps are rushing. 70 Before them a multitude of people of olden times had erred, 71 though We had sent warners among them. 72 See how those who were warned met their end! 73 EXCEPT for God's true servants, [most people are apt to go astray.] 74
