Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
