Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Nay, I swear by the places of the stars - 75 and that is a mighty oath, if you but knew 76 That this is indeed the glorious Qur'an 77 In a Register well-protected; 78 Which (that Book with Allah) none can touch but the purified (i.e. the angels). 79 a sending down from the Lord of all the Worlds. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 And to give (it) the lie you make your means of subsistence. 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 And you wait for the moment (of death), 84 And We are nearer to it than you, but you do not see-- 85 if you are not subject to anyone's authority, 86 Call back the soul, if ye are true (in the claim of independence)? 87 But if he [the dying person] is one of those brought near to God, 88 For him shall be comfort, and fragrance and a Garden of Delight. 89 And if he is one of the People on the Right, 90 (For him is the salutation), "Peace be unto thee", from the Companions of the Right Hand. 91 But if he is of the rejecters, the erring, 92 He shall have an entertainment of boiling water, 93 He will burn in Hell. 94 Verily, this is indeed the truth of truths! 95 Extol, then, the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 96

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
