Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a known calculated term. 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
