Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 for an appointed term? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 the living and the dead? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
