The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 The One Who created, and then made proper. 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
