The men of the Thicket cried lies to the Envoys 176 when Shuaib said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 177 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 178 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 179 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure, and be not cheaters, 181 And weigh with a balance straight. 182 and do not diminish the goods of the people, and do not make mischief in the earth, working corruption. 183 “And fear Him Who created you and the earlier creations.” 184 They said, “You are under a magic spell.” 185 You are nothing but a man like us, and we think you are a liar. 186 So cause a fragment of the sky to fall on us, if you are truthful." 187 He said: 'My Lord knows what you are doing' 188 Then they belied him; wherefore there laid hold of them the torment of day of shadow. Verily it was the torment of a Mighty Day. 189 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 190 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 191
