۞ By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." 52 The Pharaoh sent word to all the cities saying, 53 "These," they said, "are only a small band, 54 "And they are raging furiously against us; 55 And indeed, we are a cautious society... " 56 As such We expelled them from their gardens and their fountains, 57 And treasures and agreeable mansions. 58 Thus it was, but We made the Children of Israel inheritors of such things. 59 Then they followed them at the sunrise; 60 And when the two companies saw one another, the companions of Moses said, "Indeed, we are to be overtaken!" 61 He replied: Nay indeed! My Sustainer is with me, [and] He will guide me!" 62 Then We revealed unto Musa, saying: smite thou the sea with thy staff. So it became separated, and each part was like unto a cliff mighty. 63 In the meantime We made the others approach that place. 64 And We saved Musa (Moses) and all those with him. 65 and then We caused the others to drown. 66 Verily there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 67 Your Lord is certainly Majestic and All-merciful. 68
