NOW THOSE who are bent on denying the truth [of the Prophet's message] say: "Why has no miraculous sign ever been bestowed upon him from on high by his Sustainer?" Say: "Behold, God lets go astray him who wills [to go astray,] just as He guides unto Himself all who turn unto Him 27 Those who believe and find peace in their hearts from the contemplation of God: Surely there is peace of heart in the contemplation of God!" 28 "For those who believe and work righteousness, is (every) blessedness, and a beautiful place of (final) return." 29 As such, We have sent you forth to a nation before whom others have passed away in order that you recite to them what We have revealed to you. Yet they disbelieve the Merciful. Say: 'He is my Lord. There is no god except He. In Him I have put my trust, and to Him I turn' 30 Even if the Quran would make mountains move, cut the earth into pieces and make the dead able to speak, (the unbelievers still would not believe). All affairs are in the hands of God. Do the believers still hope that they will believe? Had God wanted he could have guided the whole of mankind to the right path. The unbelievers will always suffer afflictions that result from their deeds or the affliction which occur near their homes, until God's promise of punishing them will be fulfilled. God does not disregard His promise. 31
