We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon on both of them in the latter (generations), 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
