The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 And those who undo the bonds gently, 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. 8 and their eyes shall be downcast with dread. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 Surely it will need but one shout, 13 And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface. 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 Then say thou: wouldst thou to be purified? 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 He showed him the mighty sign, 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned his back, striving. 22 And he gathered [his people] and called out 23 Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all." 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
