Say: "Travel in the land and see what happened to those who disbelieved." 11 Ask thern: 'To whom belongs all that is in the heavens and on the earth?' Say: 'Everything belongs to Allah.' He has bound Himself to the exercise of mercy (and thus does not chastise you for your disobedience and excesses instantly). Surely He will gather you all together on the Day of Resurrection - the coming of which is beyond doubt; but those who have courted their own ruin are not going to believe. 12 ۞ And to Him belongs whatsoever exists in the night and the day, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing." 13 Say: 'Shall I take to myself as protector other than God, the Originator of the heavens and of the earth, He. who feeds and is not fed?' Say: 'I have been commanded to be the first of them that surrender: "Be not thou of the idolaters."' 14 Say, "Indeed I fear, if I should disobey my Lord, the punishment of a tremendous Day." 15 He from whom (such retribution) is averted on that day, (Allah) hath in truth had mercy on him. That will be the signal triumph. 16 And if Allah touches you with harm, none can remove it but He, and if He touches you with good, then He is Able to do all things. 17 He is the Conqueror over His worshipers. He is the Wise, the Aware. 18 Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Whose testimony is the greatest?” Say, “Allah is the Witness between me and you; and this Qur’an has been sent down upon me, so I may warn you with it and whomever it may reach; so do you bear witness that there are other Gods along with Allah?” Say, “I do not bear witness to it”; Say, “He is the only One God and I do not have any relation with whatever you ascribe as partners (to Him).” 19 They unto whom we have vouchsafed revelation aforetime know this as they know their own children; yet those [of them] who have squandered their own selves - it is they who refuse to believe. 20
