We have given you various facts (about the Truth in this Quran) so that they (unbelievers) would take heed, but this has only increased their aversion (to the truth). 41 Say: If there were with Him gods as they say, then certainly they would have been able to seek a way to the Lord of power. 42 Limitless is He in His glory, and sublimely, immeasurably exalted above anything that men may say [about Him] 43 The seven heavens extol His limitless glory, and the earth, and all that they contain; and there is not a single thing but extols His limitless glory and praise: but you [O men] fail to grasp the manner of their glorifying Him! Verily, He is forbearing, much-forgiving! 44 When thou recitest the Koran, We place between thee, and those who do not believe in the world to come, a curtain obstructing, 45 We lay veils upon their hearts and heaviness in their ears, lest they understand it. When you (Prophet Muhammad) mention your Lord alone in the Koran, they turn their backs in aversion. 46 We know best why it is they listen, when they listen to thee; and when they meet in private conference, behold, the wicked say, "Ye follow none other than a man bewitched!" 47 See what examples they have put forward for you. So they have gone astray, and never can they find a way. 48 And they say, “When we have become bones and decomposed, will we really be raised up anew?” 49 Say, "[yes] even if you turned to stones or iron, 50 ۞ "Or some created thing that is yet greater (or harder) in your breasts (thoughts to be resurrected, even then you shall be resurrected)" Then, they will say: "Who shall bring us back (to life)?" Say: "He Who created you first!" Then, they will shake their heads at you and say: "When will that be?" Say: "Perhaps it is near!" 51 on the Day when He will call you and you will rise praising Him in response to His call, and you will believe that you had lain in this state only for a while." 52
