T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not Sent down on thee the Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed. 2 it is only a reminder for him who fears Allah; 3 a revelation from Him who created the earth and the high heavens; 4 The Compassionate on the Throne is established. 5 His is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and what is between them two and what is beneath the ground. 6 If thou pronounce the word aloud, (it is no matter): for verily He knoweth what is secret and what is yet more hidden. 7 God is the only Lord and to Him belong all the exalted Names. 8 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." 10 And when he reached it, he was called by name: O Moses! 11 Verily I! I am thy Lord: so take off thy shoes; verily thou art into the holy valley, Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed to you. 13 I am God, and there is no god but I, so serve Me, and observe acts of prayer to remember Me. 14 "Behold, [although] I have willed to keep it hidden, the Last Hour is bound to come, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with what he strove for [in life]. 15 Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. 16 "What do you have in your right hand, Moses?" 17 He said: This is my staff whereon I lean, and wherewith I bear down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses. 18 (Allah) said, "Throw it, O Moses!" 19 He threw it, and behold! It was a snake, active in motion. 20 Allah said:"Grasp it, and fear not, We shall return it to its former state, 21 And face what is to come with patience, your hand will not be tarnished with blame: Another sign 22 That We may go on showing you Our greater signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh, he has become insolent' 24
