Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 then caused it to wither away. 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
