Say thou; my Lord! if Thou wilt shew me that wherewith they are threatened. 93 “Therefore my Lord, do not group me with the unjust.” 94 We certainly have the power to show you what they have been warned about. 95 [But whatever they may say or do,] repel the evil [which they commit] with something that is better: We are fully aware of what they attribute [to Us]. 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I seek refuge in You from evil suggestions of the satans. 97 I seek refuge in You lest they come to me." 98 [For such is the state of the disbelievers], until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back 99 that I have left behind. I am likely to do good." Nay, it is merely a word that he is uttering. There is a barrier behind all of them (who are dead) until the Day when they will be raised up. 100 And then no sooner the Trumpet is blown than there will remain no kinship among them that Day, nor will they ask one another. 101 Only those whose scales are heavier in the balance will find happiness. 102 But those whose scales are lighter will perish and abide in Hell for ever. 103 The Fire will sear their faces, and they therein will have taut smiles. 104 “Were not My verses recited to you, so you used to deny them?” 105 They will say: Our Lord! Our evil fortune conquered us, and we were erring folk. 106 "Our Lord! bring us out of this: if ever we return (to Evil), then shall we be wrong-doers indeed!" 107 He will say, "Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me. 108 "Behold, there were among My servants such as would pray, 'O our Sustainer! We have come to believe [in Thee]; forgive, then, our sins and bestow Thy mercy on us: for Thou art the truest bestower of mercy!' 109 you made a laughingstock of them and your hostility to them caused you to forget Me, and you simply kept laughing. 110 Indeed, I have rewarded them this Day for their patient endurance - that they are the attainers [of success]." 111 God will ask them, "How many years did you live in your graves?" 112 They will say: We tarried by a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep count! 113 He will say: ye tarried a little indeed; would that ye had known that. 114 Do you think We created you for nothing, and that you will not return to Us?" 115 God is the most exalted King and the Supreme Truth. He is the only God and the Lord of the Gracious Throne. 116 And whoever invokes (or worships), besides Allah, any other ilah (god), of whom he has no proof, then his reckoning is only with his Lord. Surely! Al-Kafirun (the disbelievers in Allah and in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, pagans, idolaters, etc.) will not be successful. 117 So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 118
