The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 by those who reprove severely, 2 and those who recite the Exhortation; 3 Lo! thy Lord is surely One; 4 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Lord of the Eastern regions. 5 We have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty (in) the stars,- 6 and have made them secure against every rebellious, satanic force, 7 These satans cannot listen to what transpires in the High Council for they are pelted away from every side 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 Except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame. 10 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Are they a stronger creation, or are other things of our creation, (the angels, the heavens etc.)?” We have indeed created them from sticky clay. 11 You marvel (at the wondrous creations of Allah) and they scoff at it, 12 When they are reminded, they do not pay heed, 13 And seek to scoff when they behold a portent. 14 saying, "This is plain sorcery!" 15 "What! when we die, and become dust and bones, shall we (then) be raised up (again) 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 Say, "Yes indeed, and you will be brought low." 18 It will be but one Shout, then see, they are watching 19 And will say, “O our misfortune!” It will be said to them, “This is the Day of Justice.” 20 “This is the Day of Judgement, which you used to deny!” 21
