۞ (Then will the command be given): “Muster all the wrong-doers and their spouses and the deities whom they used to serve 22 besides God, and lead them to the path of the Fire; 23 And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned." 24 How is it that you are not helping one another? 25 indeed, on that Day they will surrender themselves. 26 They will then turn towards each other (and start wrangling). 27 These say, 'Why, you of old would come to us from the right hand.' 28 They shall say: Nay, you (yourselves) were not believers; 29 We had no power over you. You were a rebellious people, 30 Thus, the words of Our Lord about us have come true and now we are suffering the torment. 31 For we had led you astray. In fact we ourselves were astray." 32 On that Day, they will all share the chastisement. 33 Lo! thus deal We with the guilty. 34 For when it was said to them: 'There is no god except Allah' they were always proud 35 And they used to say, “Shall we forsake our Gods upon the sayings of a mad poet?” 36 Nay, but he [whom you call a mad poet] has brought the truth; and he confirms the truth of [what the earlier of God's] message-bearers [have taught]. 37 Verily ye are going to taste a torment afflictive. 38 And you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do - 39 Except for God's sincere servants; 40 for them awaits a known provision, 41 Fruits. And they will be honoured 42 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise), 43 (Sitting) on couches, face to face, 44 a cup from a spring being passed round to them, 45 White, delicious to those who drink. 46 Neither does it intoxicate, nor give a headache. 47 With them will be spouses, modest of gaze and beautiful of eye, 48 who are as chaste as sheltered eggs. 49 And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other. 50 One of them will say: “I had a companion in the world 51 'Do you believe in the Day of Judgment? 52 Can we, when we are dead and have become mere dust and bones - can we (then) verily be brought to book? 53 [And] he adds: "Would you like to look [and see him]?" 54 Then he will look and see him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He says, 'By God, wellnigh thou didst destroy me; 56 Had it not been for the grace of my Lord I too would have been there (in Hell). 57 (Another will say:)"Is it true, we are not going to die 58 Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?" 59 “This is, most certainly, the supreme success.” 60 for which one must strive hard. 61 Is that better as a hospitality, or the Tree of Ez-Zakkoum? 62 For We have truly made it (as) a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 For it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-Fire: 64 and its fruits are like devils' heads. 65 on it they shall feed, and with it they shall fill their bellies. 66 Then on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water. 67 They can only return to hell. 68 They found their fathers had gone astray; 69 So they (too) made haste to follow in their footsteps! 70 And there had already strayed before them most of the former peoples, 71 We had certainly sent warners to them. 72 Therefore see what sort of fate befell those who were warned! 73 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 74

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
